ABOUT THE HOTEL
When St. Joseph's Regional Hospital and Medical Center embarked upon a multi-million dollar expansion a hotel was included in the initial plans. Hotels on hospital campuses are normally very successful and are a great benefit to the hospital, as it adds flexibility to their business model. However, it wasn't long before budget constraints caused the hotel to be eliminated. It was at this point that as a thank you for all that St. Joseph's had done for Medical Missions for Children, Frank Brady the Founder and Chairman of MMC elected to build the hotel for the hospital.
The hotel will be owned by Multi Media Concepts a company under the MMC Worldwide umbrella. The hotel financing is independent of Medical Missions for Children and no MMC funds will be involved. Profits from the operation of the hotel, however, will be donated to Medical Missions for Children.
The hotel will have 180 rooms and will be operated by the Hyatt Corporation under the Hyatt Place flag.
The hotel’s 19 floors will be built on top of a six story parking garage making it the tallest building in the City of Paterson. Other amenities include a restaurant with a liquor license, 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a health club. This will be the only hotel in the City of Paterson and within a 5 mile radius. The bookings for the hotel are forecasted to emanate from the Hyatt reservation system, the hospital and the MMC Panasonic HDTV Studios.
