Executive Biographies
Frank Brady - Chairman and CEO
The co-founders of Medical Missions for Children created the Charity in 1999 at their kitchen table to fulfill an inner desire to help sick children and to give them purpose in their post retirement years. Peg and Frank Brady have been married for 42 years and have two daughters Maureen who works in the field of risk management and Erin who owns and operates her own graphic design company. Peg was raised in Elberon NJ and attended Elizabeth Seton College. Frank grew up in Clifton NJ and attended Monmouth University. Frank worked for most of his career for CGE (the General Electric of France) and was on the Corporate Staff of the Chairman of the Board. Peg supported Frank’s business activities and raised their family. The Bradys now reside in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Along with their work for MMC the Bradys are committed to numerous other charitable causes. Frank and Peg sit on the Development Board of Operation Smile. Peg is a Trustee of St. Joe’s Children’s Hospital and Frank is a Trustee for the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation. Peg was named Female Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 by The Rothman Institute at Fairleigh Dickenson University. Frank is a Purpose Fellow and Tech Museum Laureate. In recognition of their work with MMC they have received: The 21st Century Achievement Award from Computer World Magazine, The Stockholm Challenge Award, IESC Award, Contact Center Award, Best Health and Arts Award from Johnson and Johnson, Healthcare Informatics Award, Federal 100 Award, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hispanic Medical Association. They have also received the prestigious Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the Congress of the United States of America.
John A. Riehl – Chief Operating Oficer
John joined Medical Missions for Children in June 2004. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the management of all aspects of the organization's day-to-day operations, thereby providing leadership and support to all components of the Medical Missions for Children mission. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and graduated with honors from the Business School at the University of Connecticut. In the year 2000, he was awarded the honor of "Most Distinguished Catholic School Graduate" by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and was also inducted into his High School’s Hall of Fame in 2002. For five years, Mr. Riehl was a guest lecturer at Yale University's Medical School within its Department of Public Health.
Prior to his entry into the non-profit sector, John enjoyed a successful career in the information technology sector, where he headed up the sales and marketing activities for a software development firm, and then was appointed to the position of Information Technology Director and Chief Information Officer for a 250-attorney law firm headquartered in Boston, MA. For two years, he was also employed as a website architect/designer focused on the development of websites for both healthcare systems and law firms.
Paul Powell - VP of Media Services
Paul has been involved in all aspects of video production, post production and system design for over 25 years. As a videographer and editor, Paul created projects for broadcasting and corporations alike. Throughout his career, Paul has produced programs for medical and educational institutions, as well as sports and entertainment. He has won various awards for his work in producing Public Service Announcements and educational programming.
As a system designer and engineer, Paul Powell designed and installed state-of-the-art video systems for clients in the broadcast and market research arena culminating with the installation of the MMC/Panasonic HDTV Studios at Medical Missions for Children @ St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. In addition to his video production responsibilities, Paul is the Engineer in Charge at MMC. In the fast changing high tech paced world of video, Paul has managed to maintain an edge in keeping current with new and innovative technology.
Currently, Paul is in the process of creating programming for IEEE.TV, a web-based broadcast venue for the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, a three hundred thousand member world-wide organization.
